Ms brought online and pc gaming to consoles but with that brought restrictions with them coupled with nickel and diming consumers. Sony followed and many in the past said they would feel the pressure MS would put on them to put online. This was mostly the sentiments of the pro xbox gamers. The problem with this is I've never thought it was positive.

It took sony giving games through psn plus and suceeding in giving back that MS figured out how to make Xbox Live work.

As for nintendo, their issues with third party come from the fact that they make their consoles for themselves without third parties in mind. This forces third parties to think exclusively for Nintendo wherther or not its a good busness decison. Nintendo doesn't care about their aspirations as long as they find their way around their platform. They don't present a seamless porting experience ant is one of the major reasons Sony stole Nintendos thunder but also ended up pushing tech and creating platforms both can achieve theif dreams on.

As for sony having drm its the same drm they have on the ps3. Get the difference and realize sony has no drm and never has. Ms is imposing drm on xbox gamers, they changed their responses to sound like sony but no ones stupid because everyone already knows they got gamestop to accept the azure system which helps them profit off off of their games. Ms is imposing their will on their loyal consumers by forcing drm into the heart of the xbox one so they can talk about third party all they want when this is a first party problem. If I do end up getting an xbox one for the next halo I am going to be super selective about what I pay full price for.

Ms got sony to force gamers to pay for online multiplayer but I willingly paid for psn plus because it empowered me as a game. It didn't take away from me.

The Losers

Microsoft- Pushing their own fanbase away because of their policies. Shame really, as the games are there
Nintendo- Ignored by gamers and developers alike
Companies that support DRM- Eg EA who will lose sales and money lead to closure of their smaller studios
Gamers- less innovation and choice due to the above. May cause stagnation or even collapse of industry in it's current state

A successful industry can't rely on one successful company

I would say Vita is the most dead of all.

Sorry Sony, you did your best.

Don´t scrull with PS4 price and release in Brazil.

Wait, what? PS4 doesn't have DRM, I hardly think development costs will rise that much, I'm 100% sure that "ground-breaking games" will not disappear, I think the Wii U can still recover, and if it doesn't, Nintendo is seemingly unbeatable on the handheld department, and I honestly think that PS4 and One will be toe-to-toe.
