Mario 3D world looks awful, is a multiplayer game, has mario party artstyle, is a small, quickly developped game, McDonald's kind of videogames.

It was my most anticipated game on the system by far and I am completely disappointed. And now I fear for Zelda. If Nintendo can completely ruin and dumb down a flagship Mario, can they do it for Zelda as well?

Let's pray they won't ruin Zelda like they are ruining Mario. At least MK8 looks still legit.

Never heard of McDonaldo's, but I worked at a McDonald's once. Good people. Wouldn't touch the food.

People said that Wind Waker was going to be a terrible, dumbed-down Zelda game. That was maybe the last time I ever trusted people.

After careful consideration of the Wii's Zelda sales, Nintendo will decide to cancel the mainline Zelda series and instead release Link's Crossbow Training 2.

More seriously, don't be so gloomy! Super Mario 3D Land was an excellent game. It was in no way a dumbed down Mario, and is both challenging and has new, brilliant aspects. Sure, it's not the same style as Super Mario Galaxy, but neither way Super Mario Galaxy the same as Super Mario Sunshine.

I have the utmost faith that Super Mario 3D World will be an excellent game. The next Zelda game is probably going to be even better.

But hey! Don't trust me, or be an optimist! Feel free to sulk about how future games might not be like you want them. I'm positive that'll make you feel like a ray of light incarnate.

First, even if you are disappointed about the new 3D Mario, you'll have to admit that it most probably will be a game of quality with a lot of creative ideas - the same formula used in any other Mario-centered game so far. Sure, it is not setting new standards like Mario 64 or Galaxy, but it isn't a "McDonald's kind of videogame" ^^

So considering, Nintendo plays it safe with this game, I would assume they play it safe with Zelda, too. That means, it'll keep the main ingredients and quality standard of the recent entries like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. I wouldn't bet too much on it looking like the demo we've seen in the last E3, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did!

I'm disappointed with 3D world as well, it looks lazy as fuck. I digress though.

Zelda hasn't been great since Wind Waker, so my hopes aren't high. Nintendo has been playing it way way way too safe ever since the Wii Era began. I'll just say this, don't get your hopes up.

No they won't and will you get off it.. it wasn't that bad.. and it didn't ruin anything.. no one said it was the definitive version of Mario on the Wii U... it's a nice sidetrack that's all.. I am sure when they show you Mario Galaxy 3.. you will get over this in no time.. (Or will it be Universe this gen??) I am also sure it will be better than anything McDonalds ever offered... and Burger King too for that matter..

Mario 3D World was a knee-jerk reaction to low sales and an attempt to boost sales. I'm sure they'll take a LOT more time for the true Zelda game.

With that, I'm actually really excited for both games.

Myself, I consider Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 as my absolute favourite games. I am really dissapointed. Don't get me wrong, this looks amazingly fun and the artstyle in HD looks brilliant. And with right advertising and a price cut this game and Mario kart 8 (which looks like the first Mario Kart since ever where I am hyped to the end) will do wonders to Wii U.

But damn. I couldn't stop dreaming of an more openworld like game. And also, no epic orchestre. But my hope for a real 3D Mario didn't die today, cause Wii also got two 3D Mario Games. as We speak, the Wii Uhas like 4 years left, enough time to surprise us.

EDIT: I still can't wait to play this with friends, looks 20 times better then NSMWB U and I already loved that.
