X and Y are too new IMO for a mega evolution pkmn to be in.

The Xerneas reveal shows that they are indeed taking stuff from X/Y, though a Mega Evolution would only be as a Final Smash, since characters are always in their base forms otherwise. Infact, Mega Evolution is probably why Lucario is back, since he's your first experience with Mega Evolution in the game.
On a side note, I'm hoping the Secret Super Training music gets in, my favorite track from X/Y! ^_^
