because the inference was that you couldnt get extra stroage on a ONE. nobody else had a problem with it and we engaged in a civil conversation thereafter. why are you trying to cause trouble? |
The topic has nothing to do with xbox supporting external drives. You are in the Sony forum on a topic about the upgradable internal PS4 drive. You derailed the thread and found another opportunity to defend xbox. Pls make a thread about whatever you like and discuss there.
Yeah, I'd rather buy the cheaper console (Wii U is still cheaper, but nevermind), brag about the price and throw out more money for controllers and Sony HDDs than I would on other platforms.
Makes perfect sense.

So both will have a 500 gb built in? Seems sufficient to me.
If the average game install in 15 gigs ish, then you can have about 30 games installed. As long as you can re-rip or re-download seems ok.
The only issue I can see is Microsofts mandatory install. Can I start playing the game immediately, or do I have to wait for it to finish? Can it install in the background? Minor gripe compared to the DRM thing but still.
^Microsoft said you can start the game as soon as the first bytes are on your HDD.
And isn't Sony actually the one with mandatory installs already on the PS3? (I mean, I've literally waited over an hour once before I could play a game because of system updates, installs, game updates, installs, ... still, it is a console I use)
This generation is full of twisting and unreasonable arguments.

The WiiU/X1 option for external HDDs is nice, but everyone prefers internal HDDs.
And it's not just the fact that an additional external HDD sitting next to the console just looks ugly. When you connect an external HDD to the X1, there are two HDDs running at the same time, which for example means twice the HDD noise/power consumption. And since all the core parts of the system etc. will most probably be stored on the X1's mechanical internal HDD, buying a fast SSD will provide much less of a speed advantage on the X1 than on the PS4.
