Forums - Microsoft - Why is Blockbuster selling Xbox Ones??

Shouldn't they only stock PS4s and Wii Us? With MS's policies Blockbuster won't be able to rent games for that console, so wouldn't it be in their best interests to only sell consoles that do support rented games?

Something seems really fishy...

Lol just lol

Remember there are suppose to be publisher supported retailers. Could be they have a deal with a publisher to allow them to unlock games for resale, perhaps a rental game solution, but doubtful. Aside from that Blockbuster isn't very good at Blockbuster.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

You really think blockbuster is in a position to pick and choose what they sell?
With the additions of Netflix and Redbox I'm honestly surprised blockbuster still exists.

You bring up an excellent point, but Blockbuster is helping MS carve out an install base that doesn't support rentals, in exchange for the peanuts MS and pubs will give Blockbuster in exchange for a trade-in of one of their titles.

Blockbuster is up to something, but what could it be?

Maybe they'll be the only business MS and pubs will support in terms of renting their games out...

In which case, don't buy stock in Blockbuster.
