To be honest most of the things Plus gives you for "free" you are paying. You are paying for those discounts, you are paying for those games, you are paying for all those extra in game stuff. Giving you early or exlcusive beta entries is not a bonus either because if + did not exsist you be able to get those beta's for free.

Live offers comparable stuff with its sales for arcade games and what obviously not at the same scale but I really do not know since I'm not a XBL subscriber.

Paying online is not a issue heck I'm not even mad about it. Its just hilarious watching people eat their own words. Sony fans have bashed MS calling them evil and what not for years because they charge for online gaming, now that sony is doing it its all good LOL. Honestly its just pathetic.

I don't like paying for online multiplayer either way, but PSN+ is a service that is worth the money you pay. You get access to free games, whether you like them or not, plus discounts on games (which you keep if you purchase them). This is all without making you pay for the service on top of the apps like Netflix, which Microsoft hides behind Live Gold, so you need to pay the monthly fee for Netflix on top of the Live Gold costs. With PS+, that won't happen.

Who cares if we need ps+ to play online lol, we get over 100 bucks of content for 60 dollars per year!

and the longer you keep your membership the more stuff you get! I have so many free games I simply can't play them all. But they are there when I can!

ugh

I hear ya (why I avoided XBL Gold) but... PS+ is totally worth the 50 bucks which is still cheaper then XBL. Plus this will grow the PS+ membership. Plus, it isn't required to access all the other media functions like XBL.

Destroyed how? Not big exclusive suprises as the square games (FFIV aside) are most likely multiplat. Not big lauch title, xbox will have at least FM5.

Price and used game policies may change, especially the latter. We should also consider the type of offers and how they will be marketed. It's definitely too soon to talk about this and declare a winner.

Ive got no problems with paying for online It was bound to happen.

I hate the hypocrisy and fake hype: fees, no games, few launch games, rushed unveiling, no launch date, slippery words.

It was a good showing. They didn't really show anything "new", though. All their reveals were multiplat, so MS wins it in the games department.

But the jabs were just ridiculous. If I were a mod I'd ban Sony for trolling

Sony showed two new exclusives IPs and the SE games is not confirmed yet to anything than PS4.

But you can't deny that 2 revealed exclusives and 2 games which likely won't be isn't as impressive as all the games that MS showed, even if Sony's conference was better,

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Nice to see people in damage control, also PS+ is not a value for everyone not everyone will want those games you you know
Also when did the definition of free changed? Those games are not free you need to pay to access them and when you stop paying they are gone.

You do make a good point. However, PS+ offers more than just the 'free' games. T=It also includes cloud storage, auto syncing and downloading, discounted prices on games you DO want, early beta access etc. It's more than worth the price. Look I think we all knew this would be coming. It simply costs too much money to maintain that type of infrastructure. It is less than $5 a month and you get a lot for that. I am willing to pa yfor that if it means I can continue to rent games through game fly or lend and borrow my games (Borrowed God of War on PS2 and have bought every game of the series including the HD rversions because I loved GoW so damned much) and not have to reverify my games ownership Q24 hours.

Well that's a question of "like"... for me KH3 and FFvXIIIXV reveal was the biggest of the show even if not excluisve.

JRPG is my second or third favorite genre in the games... I play some underground JRPG that few guys here should know.

WHat are you talking about. There are several launch titles and we know Sony has games for christ sake. They also mentioned in the conference that they were working on 20+ exclusive titles as of today. They are as of yet unannounced but come on Sony has always brought us great games and PS4 won't be any different. Not tro mention the flood of indie games we are sure to get with Sony removing the publisher requirement for game devs.

Plus, at least the exclusives they did show span genres other than FPSs. Not too mention we still have PS3 and Vita titles. I know MS said they arent abandoning the 360 but I dunno... I'm gonna probably sell mine asap so as to get as much for it as possible before they ditch it like they did the Xbox one (original Xbox).
