Individual posting it hoped Fuse bombed so that Insomniac would return back to Sony.

Well, what I saw today is that it looks like Insomniac, with Sunset Overdrive, is now doing an XBox One exclusive.  So, in short, Fuse put Insomniac in a place to where it would do something for Microsoft.  Did people SERIOUSLY think a poorly selling Fuse would result in Insomniac returning to Sony?

I really think Sony and Insomniac had a fallout. Something dirty happened behind the scenes.

fuses sales didnt cause insmniac to go to MS. this tittle has been in development for a while now, probably the team who made resistance. fuse only just released no way they would have went to a MS, made a deal, and then made a trailer in a few days. i mean come on

It is very likely that once Overstrike became Fuse, that Insomniac saw things were afoot and put feelers out to Microsoft to cover their backside, in event Fuse would go down.  Microsoft, more than willing to end up going after Sony, jumped on the bandwagon and did what they did.  It is very possible Sunset Overdrive would of been multiplatform.

Ted Price confirmed on IGN that them doing this game for MS doesn't mean they are now MS only, it just means they are free to make games for whomever they want whenever they want.
The relationship with Sony is still good, in fact they are still working on other things (e.g Ratchet and Clank Movie)

No, "people" didn't think that. Looking at that thread no more than a couple of people might have kinda thought that.

Maybe Sony recognized the quality of Insomniac's work was going down, so they let them go :D

That didn't seem to be the case as there was an interview with Shuhei Yoshida in which he expressed his displeasure of Insomniac leaving their second-party status with Sony. He even mentioned that everything was amicable and it was just Insomniac wanting to pursue this direction.

Likewsie, Ted Price said that the reason is because they belive it's the right move for the company to remain alive / relavant, and they wanted ownership of their IPs.

So that brings the question, does anyone have any clue regarding Sunset Overdrive's IP rights? If it's owned by MS, then I guess he must be a hypocrite. :)
