Was just looking over all the Vita games I own and I notice that I can't find a single game outside of COD:BOD and to some extent Resistance: BS that I would consider bad or even mediocre. So I began to think of the top 5 games people should own then it grew to 10 and finally I limited it to 15 games that I think every PSVita owner should look into buying. I will go into more detail for games in the top 5 while games 6-15 will have a breif description.
- Persona 4 Golden - This should come as no suprise to people in the gaming community, Persona 4 Golden is AMAZING. While it is a port of a PS2 game, that is no reason to dismiss buying it for your Vita or even buying a Vita for the game itself. The developers added ALOT more than a fresh coat of paint like new events, new dungeons, new dialogue, new social links, new difficulties, new music, new cutscenes, new areas, new activities to do after school and at night (like gardening and bug catching), new costumes, trophies, a new epilogue, and MUCH more! Whether or not you like JRPG's shouldn't be the deciding factor for you to buy this game. What should be is whether or not you want one of the best games of all time on a platform you can take with you wherever you go!
- Gravity Rush - I see alot of people complaining that there aren't enough original games for the Vita and while that is completely true there still are a few that just happen to be really unique and fun to play! I feel those two words perfectly describe Gravity Rush, fun and unique. Gravity Rush plays like no other game before it, you manipulate gravity to reach platforms, throw/carry objects, walk on walls/ceilings, and of course attack enemies. It uses alot of the Vita's features as well like the gyroscope, front and rear touch, plus multi-touch. If you are looking for an exclusive Vita game that is worth playing definetely give Gravity Rush a shot!
- LittleBigPlanet Vita - While there have been LittleBigPlanet Games on PS3 and PSP none are a great is the PSVita installment. Not only has the developers squeezed most of the features from LBP2 into the game they even added more! Using both front and rear touch feels perfect for a LBP game and it added alot more gameplay options for those who love creating levels. Another great thing about having LittleBigPlanet on your Vita is that the game never ends! People are creating new levels eveyday that range from full RPG games to little bit size mobile games! There is no reason someone should buy a Vita without also buying LBP Vita.
- PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale - Now this game may come as a suprise being this high on the list. While many feel this game isn't very good, I feel like it is PERFECT on the Vita. The game looks and plays great plus it's perfect for pick up and play gaming. I find myself playing this on my Vita more than PS3 because I can hop in a few online matches while listening to my music and then just as quickly hop off. While on PS3 I can't recommend this game to many people, I feel like this game is perfect for vita and everyone should have it in their collection.
- Soul Sacrifice - Let me just start out buy saying this game is HUGE. I'm 40+ Hours in and I'm still not done beating it! Soul Sacrifice is another one of the few PSVita exclusives that is worth buying. It's big, it's addicting, and it's alot of fun. The game is tailor made for portable gaming with it's mission based gameplay and storybook cutscenes. Multiplayer is alot of fun and gives the game some replay value. It can get repetitive so thats why it's not higher up on th list but if you can get past that one negative this is one of the best games you can get for your Vita.
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Having the full Need for Speed experience on the go... nuff said.
- Hots Shots Golf: World Invitational - Even if you don't like golf (like me) this game is good enough that it will MAKE you like golf!
- Sly Cooper: Theives in Time - Another PS3 game that feels better on the Vita. A must own for Platformer lovers.
- Super Stardust Delta - Come on this twin-stick shooter is only $10 and gives you infinite replay value by the way of chasing high scores!
- Guacamelee - The perfect combo of platformer and beat'em up!
- Wipeout 2048 - Beautiful graphics and great track design makes this arguably the best racer on Vita.
- Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed - For those of you who like Mario Kart Look no further, the game is just as good as it's console counterparts in both gameplay and visuals.
- Rayman Origins - For those of you who like 2D platformers again look no further.
- Smart as... - The perfect game for those of you who love to test your brain in a variety of puzzle mini-games.
- Sound Shapes - Put on some headphones and enjjoy this unigue 2D platformer that combines platforming bliss and cool beats.
