I wouldn't drop cartridges. They are way better than discs and prevent all the digital flaws. They should go with a "cartridge or download" philosophy. But they already do, right?



I only say they should drop cartridges just because 3DS is the only system left that still uses them. Basically there's no real logic behind it lol.

Hmmm, my Vita uses them too!  I always prefer physical media on expensive games.  I will never pay more than $20 for a game that I don't own or can't resell if I chose to.



Oh, my bads! I thought they used little CDs. I don't know, it's been years since I saw a PSP, and I've never seen a Vita.

I see them excluding 3D in their next handheld, partially because they would want to keep selling the 3DS for a while before it is phased out.

Next system, probably won't come out until A.) Nintendo senses another powerful competitor or B.) they decide to do something crazy. By crazy I mean they do something like have their next system be a fusion of the handheld and console, however they do it. I sort of dig the DS style design but I wouldn't be surprised if the next handheld goes a different route.
