"Loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners."

Taken right from here if you want to check http://kotaku.com/xbox-one-games-can-only-be-given-to-one-person-ever-511754913

Spin it if you wish. Don't see how that is good at all in any way

I don't rent games...I don't care for GameFly..and Loaning games is not that important when you can simply play all your games on a different Xbox One through your gamertag account...

Many times this gen I've fallen into the hype and bought a game people raved about, only to play it for an hour and find it to be complete shit. I would then put the game on craigslist immediately and have it sold the next day for either 50-55 dollars or for a game trade-in.

I guess with the Xbone this is no longer possible. Either I buy a game, dislike it and get screwed over by keeping a game I'll never play, or I'll get screwed over by selling a one week old game at Gamestop or similar "authorized" retailers for a rip-off price of $35. I really hope Sony doesn't go this route, otherwise it's PS360WiiU for me.

35 ?? Thats what you would get at the moment. But all of this used games deal is for a reason. That the Developer can charge authorized reseller for reselling the game.

Its not sure how much a retailer has to pay to reactivate an used game. But whatever it is 10-20-30 Dollar there is no way that reseller will give you the same money they do today. They will obviously give you less than today or else they won't make any profit by selling used games.

So if the Activation Fee the Developer demands is 20 Dollar. And the retailer would have given you say 35 Dollar for a new game. He will now give you 15-20 Dollar since he has to pay 20 for the reactivation and he still wants that 10 Dollar profit.

Why would anyone want to buy a console that forces you to check in every 24 for hours or it won't let you play. I thought videogames were meant to be fun.

Lol, it does make it sound more like you're on probation.

I think you misunderstood what carl was talking about....

Maybe, So what was he talking about ?

I was under the impression he voiced concerns that MS policies will have an effect on retro gaming in the future if MS eventually decides to turn of the servers for old games.

right...and I went on about 15-20 years later being to much for the Xbone to have dedicated servers

Yes ofcourse but what happens to your old games then ? This could eventually be a problem in the future. Its not guaranteed that MS gives a shit in 20 years.

LOL...What make you think that 8th gen games wont be available on other devices 20 years from now?

What does it matter if they are on other devices. I would have to rebuy the games in that case.

damn the internet is ablaze!!! if MS realy thought this would calm everyone down that just put gasoline on an inferno!!!

I don't know how much truth is in your post, but if you're correct then this just means I'm REALLY going to get screwed if I go the Xbone route (which looks highly unlikely now).

The Playstaion 3 and the PSN say hello!!

I practically live off buying and selling used games off Amazon.. Looks like that's out the window. Dealing with used games sounds like a friggin nightmare with the Xbone.

Yeah, no... Yeah... no..... No thanks MS, no thanks.

So what, I didn't rebuy any games I already owned on PS1/PS2. Because I can still play them.
