Platinum Games titles barely sell as it is, why piss off Nintendo fans further? This could seriously affect crowd response towards Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2. Nintendo took the dive financially for them and Kamiya had to open his mouth.

Kamiya is great, I love that guy.

I doubt this is going to affect the sales of platinum's games. Gamers have short memory come E3 this would have been forgotten. This isn't going to tarnish, Ninty's and plat's relationship. Kamiya and Sakurai are close friends. I read a tweet from sakurai long time ago that he frequently visits platinuma games.

That was pretty much what I was getting at. Why, in a situation that Platinum Games was in, where only ONE publisher would fund the development of a sequel for you, would you burn your bridges by alienating that publisher's fanbase? Are they TRYING to go belly up?

The majority of the fans buying these games are hardcore gamers. Bayonetta isnt the runaway hit people act like it is. Platinum Games titles are niche as it is and its even more niche now that its on a Nintendo console.
