It is more of an action game than an rpg. You do level up, but you have very little customazition when it comes to upgrading your character. However, I would say the more recent ones have had a lot more rpg elements.

I see. It always looked actiony and I love the theme of Disney universes colliding, but I never really got into it on PS2 (didn't have money back then so I had to be more picky) and didn't own any of the other systems it's been on.

Well, the gameplay is pretty basic hack-and-slash combat, with some platforming and exploration here and there. The story is a little corny and started to sound like an episode of care bears with all the power of frienship and my feels, yatty yatty. Standard RPGs stuff.

However, put together, the game is really enjoyable and if you are a fan of disney or FF, you'll really enjoy when you see your favorite characters make cameo appearance or when you fight them. Also, SEPHIROTH.

I would recommend you try it, it's pretty damn good.

thanks for the details. I'll check it out at some point. Launch or later is yet to be decided.
