Let's not forget that Second Life is free and will run on damned near anything built post-2002.

I keep looking at Home and I keep failing to see why it's a big deal. Frankly, to me, it looks boring and the resources Sony used to make it could have been put to better use on PSN, XMB, and online functionality.

Its my understanding that this is exactly what Home is gonna do. 3d enviorment for XMB and online funtionality??

So, do you guys think this will be a system seller?

I think it could have some impact mostly by word of mouth.

Home will be the biggest flop of 2008. You heard it here first.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Yeah, that's the goal but I don't see the reason for the 3D environment. KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid).

Maybe Sony will wow me with Home but I'm not holding my breath in anticipation.

I thought it would be the biggest flop of 2007.

Damned delays.

Home isn't a game ......

Its completely free and will be distributed online. Therefore, we will not know its "sales".

"Flop" in the sense that it won't be a system-seller nor will it drastically change the Playstation experience like Sony has been telling us it will.

looks good

Personally I don't think its liable to be all that popular. Maybe at first and with a certain type of person, but I would think its liable to remain rather niche.

Not that I think it will fail so to speak, but I don't think you're going to get people rushing out to buy a ps3 for this.
