This is good.

After the reveal, MS employees were bombarded with questions they werent equipped to answer.

This will ensure it doesnt happen again.

No, its not good. That means the unanswered questions will continue to be unanswered. Look at it from your point of view, not Microsofts.

Id like E3 to be about the games and not bogged down with features talk. Those will come in time and if MS is smart, are allready in th process of making a compromise.

Uh...you can have both. These are NEW consoles. We need to know what they can not do.

Pssh. I aint picky. We heard......erm...."enough" about features for the time being. Id like a games blitz. I have simple needs in this regard.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Here's a post from GAF, from 'famousmortimer', a member who has some contacts in the industry:

"I mentioned the other day that I was hearing rumors of Microsoft throwing around a considerable amount of money to have publishers only show games on the Xbox One during E3. Most people dismissed my admittedly flakey news as 'that's what always happens.'

I've talked to more people since then though and this isn't the usual jostling for publishers on stage that happens at E3. Microsoft is throwing BIG money around to reverse course on idea that they aren't a games console. The rumors are that PS4 versions of multiplats, by those who do take the money, won't be shown AT ALL. Not on stage and not on the show floor.

I don't feel bad for Sony because business is business. I'm sure they will find a way to have a decent show... or they will have to recover afterwards. That's not really my concern.

Now, there's no need to take my word on this if you don't want to. But do keep an eye on E3 next week. With them buying up everything in sight and now potentially cutting an open roundtable out(to assumedly talk one on one with friendly press) and word that finding multiplat games on the ps4 on the show floor will be much harder than anticipated.... just keep an eye on it. Maybe my sources are wrong. But I feel confident enough in this info to share it.

I'm not saying to jump to conclusions. I'm just saying it may be something to keep an eye on."

what the hell does that mean?

that a game will be multiplay (xbone/ps4) but MS is going to pay them big money to deny the existence of the ps4 release at E3?  what's the point?  anyone that games will see though that illusion in less than a day.   ..and then the negative press will follow MS on that scandal as well.

We still need clarification on virtually all these "features" we've been hearing about. But yeah, I see where you're coming from. Games do need to get the spotlight at E3.

My guess is that there are questions that they don't want to answer...or they're finding someone to replace Phil Harrison.

They shouldn't get mad at the employees. They are the ones who put their employees in a tough position.

Lol Adam Orth was right but im hoping that he was forced to resign because he was being too unfriendly to potential customers on Twitter

This isn't bad for MS. I think it doesn't really make a difference. Sony has been pretty much silent on the PS4 since February not talking about it or answering any questions, so its fine if MS doesn't want to answer questions.

Difference is, Sony hasn't claimed anything controversial they need to clearify, while Microsoft does.

Oh right that true, forgot about that :P . Still, they should clarify the used games policy, price, and most of people's concerns about the Xbox 1 at E3, so its no big deal if there isn't a confrence.

A horrible use of cash if you ask me. The games will still come, so the only people losing here is Microsofts checking account.

Is E3 all that important for customers after all ?
For me, it seems that E3 is just about media and journalists. Purchasers barely touch what E3 has to offer and are always dependent of what journalists says about it.
Maybe Nintendo´s strategy with their Nintendo Directs is the right path to follow from now on.... maybe....it just seems more customer-friendly

E3 to me is more about announcements then hands on. I know the games I like, and I don't need a demo to convince me otherwise. If the Microsoft rumor is true, then it really shows they are uncomfortable with what they have and is a sign of desperation. A PS4 is a more powerful machine so either MSFT is afraid Sonys machine will perform better and will make theres look bad, or they really just have that much money to waste.
