Not necessarily. People complain a lot about $60 games, a $10 increase will result in more people waiting for a price reduction (not counting "core" fans of a series obviously). People might get used to this price later in the gen, but a lot of gamers will complain about it during the first year. |
I'm sure they will complain. 60$ in 2006 is 70$ in 2013. I agree with price increase more than blocked used games
$499 for the console seems realistic, and not outrageous if Sony's OK with a slow start for the system. The $70 for a game thing seems faarrr to much. $60 is fairly pricey really.

I guessed £350/£400 for a 500GB/1TB model, if it was this price I wouldn't mind at all but we will have to wait a few more months for an official price

Man, you are such a pro xbox guy its unreal. Every post of yours i've read has to have a pro Xbox slant. Just be a gamer.
But yeh, this info has been out for a while in the UK. It could be a placeholder price or the actual price. If it was £399 in the UK then it would be no more than $500 in the USA.
But still unconfirmed if this is the right price, but the retailers always have wrong placeholder prices so We'll all find out at E3 the actual price.

where? I've never seen it. |
Zavvi got it first.
The game prices look legit though. Mainly due to the fact that there is no "*" next to them.
Will be interesting to see the different bundles and what the price difference would be. So say it was £399 here, would the next model up (HDD) be £449 or £499? Because that will be much more than PS3 launched for here in the UK and i don't think Sony would want to repeat that pricing tbh. Even if it is the top end model.
The pictures in higher resolution:
I can't find the console in any of the images. Unless PS4 is a cube.
