Forums - Gaming - Dark Souls 2 to release in Spring 2014

This makes me think the game might also be released for the PS4 at some point.

If they do that, hopefully the PS4 version runs at 60 FPS.

PC version should.  From Software will do a much better job with the pc version this time around, their lack of experience really showed on their Dark Souls port.

Yeah I think a lot of people heard about that.

Too be honest, their PS3 framerate was all over the place as well. I had my game crash a lot of times, even with the patches I'm not sure they fully rectified the issue.

Apparently thats why they've developed or attuned a new engine for Dark Souls 2, to deal with those problems. Hopefully those issues are a thing of the past now they know Dark Souls has a stong following.

The framerate needs to be more stable, thats for sure.  I never had the game crash more than a few times and I've put in hundreds of hours in.  The patches were mainly for balancing the game and for odd graphical glitches.

I am really looking forward to the new light effects.  They are vastly improved as you can see in the gameplay demo.
