I play full 3D all the time - it adds a level of immersion

I would do the same if it weren't for that sweet spot, hence this thread. :L

print out an arrow on a label printer, then stick it on where the sweet spot for you is. Then when you loose it jsut line up with the arrow and your good to go.

I guess you would use a dot too lol. But arrows just look better.

Nice idea, but that's not the issue at hand here.

I either have no 3D or full 3D, since let's be honest, the 3D on some games is fucking amazing, whereas on others, I don't think 3D adds to it, for example, Mario Kart 7, and even Ridge Racer (Yeah, I bought it... RIIIIIIIDGE RAAAAACER!) look great in 3D, whereas I'm currently playing through Tales of the Abyss, and the 3D is pretty meh in my opinion, well, it's okay, but not worth the extra battery drain (Even though it's near to nothing), it's also pretty hard trying to play Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy in 3D, it's too distracting.

True true. So far the only game I wouldn't like using 3D with is NSMB2 as it blurs out the nice backround and doesn't really do a whole lot considering it's a side scroller.

The few times I've played 3DS I've always turned the 3D off. But I think the glasses free 3D is important in 3DS because it advances viewing tech one step along the path to wherever it's heading.

im one of those "small population" that like to pump the slider to the top and think that the 3d on my 3ds gave me no problem at all....

the only complain i have is there is no 3d movies :(....not even trailer... come on nintendo!

I think you might want to take a look at my post on the previous page. Although so far v2.0 is far better than the later versions of 3D Video Converter and I'm not sure if that's still linked in the thread so you might be out of luck.

why should someone have to go through all that to watch 3d videos on a damn system made for 3D? Thats not very consumer friendly.

OT. I agree with the OP but not on the resolution. Glasses would make it even more cumbersome. Ive just accepted i dont care for the whole Window 3D. I much prefer the actual popup that glasses provide. Its no biggie i usually have the 3d off as it doesnt really add anything to the games at least they dont for me.

Whut? Glasses would solve the problem. No more blurry screens and no more stopping to readjust your position. Just pure, straight gaming, well not counting outside influences. It sounds like your problem is with the 3D itself, not it's implementation.

So if someone has to wear prescription glasses, they're screwed?

Despite Nintendo's best efforts, i still see 3D as a pointless gimmick. When i play a demo of it in the shop, i just turn 3D off altogether, it's just better without it. And it's also really expensive to get a 3DTV still, while not too many movies are available in 3D and you have to buy those stupid glasses...

There's no denying that 3D is just a gimmick here, but I certainly wouldn't say it's pointless or it'd be better off without. If you don't like 3D for whatever reasons, simply don't use it. *Billy Mays voice* It's that easy!

I did just that but not just because i find it pointless but it also makes my eyes go a bit weird afterwards

I say they shoulda waited until glasses free 3D was perfected before going that route, while using glasses 3D in the meantime.

I would say they're screwed either way lol. But really I've seen people in my tech ed class wearing the safety goggles over their glasses, so perhaps they could do the same with 3D glasses. I don't wear glasses so I can't say how well that'd work.

Wearing 3D glasses to play a HandHeld system would just look plain ridiculous. Glasses-free was the way to go.

Also, Nintendo put the 3D Slider there for a reason. If 3D just isn't working out for you, turn it off.
