I would be unhappy that Nintendo didn't make a lot of money and that not a lot of people were able (or willing) to enjoy so many great games, but if the Wii U ended up having just as many great games as the Gamecube I would be one happy gamer. No system has ever come close to how much I loved the Gamecube.
Currently playing:
Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9
If Nintendo and 1st/2nd party deliver the games in a retro manner and don't go all easy-mode, helper-mode, family-mody on everything they create, the Wii U will be much like the GameCube (going by announced games).
I wouldn't even mind if it wasn't too successful. The Wii had great games that weren't successful so the console's success didn't help the niche games very much.
It wouldn't bother me at all because Gamecube had many classics, just outstanding games. If the Wii U struggles it would push Nintendo to deliver more, but it doesn't mean its beneficial for them of course.
WiiU's sales success has no bearing on my life so no, but I love Nintendo as a company so I'd like to see them do well.
You know GC is very popular amongst core gamers, it was a really sleek chipset
i grew up with it so for me it would be amazing haha
