XBox One is nowhere near the disaster the PS3 was early on. MS will probably be making a profit on each unit from day 1 for starters.

I doubt Sony and MS will be making money from Day one.

I certainly agree. It was just an afterthought. The main point was that Sony owned the World with the PS2 and allowed it to go to their heads, which explained the arrogance.

Nintendo could have made these types of comments when the HD twins combined were < Wii.

It just doesn't make sense to me coming from MS at this point in time.

I gave you a proper explaination for how MS leveled the playingfield on their console with gamers. Eventually they dropped them in the end. Eventually they'll drop gamers halfway through the gen after they get what they want out of them again. MS are experts at getting peoples attention with marketing in gaming, which is why they market third party titles as if they are exclusives.

In what terms was it more disasterous? You seem to be blending all things together. PS3 wasn't anti-consumer at all. As a customer, I wouldn't think much about whether the company makes profit or not.

PS3 was selling at a loss and it offered free online gaming. These policies might have been harmful to Sony, but they weren't to us, gamers. Why should I care about how successful the console was to Sony when they're giving me anything I'd ask for?

 

And the Xbox ONE isn't even out yet, you're making a false comparison.

$599 is anti consumer. Forcing a unproven video format at the time is anticonsumer. The "free online" in 2006 wasn't on par with the origional Xbox Live, nevermind Live on 360 in 2006.

Its a subjective argument anyways, no right or wrong answr.

So an oppinion from you, a Sony loyalist, about Microsoft's console/strategy/plan/history is more accurate than the oppinion of the Xbox community who actually enjoy their 360 and their games? I do no think the majority of the Xbox gamers out there agree with you (even if you gave a "proper" explaination).

You gave me your point of view (biased), that's it.

Thats the difference....I do not hide who I am.

Loyalty free...... yet you somehow can see the future where MS will abandon the gamers yet again, despite the public news of them buying and hiring internal developers.
