Not as good as on Vita. Got you there!

I'll reserve judgement of this until I've maybe played a demo of the PSVita version, but let me tell you this: The difference between WVGA and FullHD in this game IMO is pretty negligible (I don't really see a difference between the picture on my TV and on the gamepad), so the difference between the Gamepad and the PSVita will be even less.

Vita's screen is OLED, that's what I mean. The colours will surely pop more on it than on WiiU's gamepad.

I have both and would be able to compare (maybe with a Rayman trailer vs Rayman trailer comparison), but you would need to give my PSVita ~10 minutes to charge up a bit^^

^Looking good.

OK, took some photos and recorded a video. I'm a bad photographer, but maybe some pictures will have made it without being blurry^^

Here are the only relatively good pictures....the video will be uploaded in 12 minutes according to youtube. It is in 1080p, hopefully the youtube compression won't fuck it up too much^^

EDIT: Open in new tab for the full resolution

You know this won't work, right? >_>

For me to see how it looks on the screens, I would have to have both in front of me. I can't compare both on my PC monitor.

Not even in the video? It should at least give you a rough imprssion how comparable both are :/

You can easily tell that colors pop more on Vita screen and the blacks are actually black, not grey. It is not really possible to compare the two about resolution etc. though.

Huh?

In addition to the touch screen, there is a touch pad on the back that they could use as well.

my bad, i meant the touchpad on the back. you can't see where you're toching with it.

You have the ability to approximate the position of your fingers though

I don't think this would be as precise as with the WiiU stylus, though.

From what I played on the demo pin point precision isn't a necessesity at all. You simply drag your fairy companion to hit triggers, cut ropes etc. The rear touch pad is 1:1 and you have the visual reference of the fairy... The Vita also has the better screen resolution than the wii U pad, bettercontrast, and from what I judged from the trailer in-game details like textures haven't taken a visible hit.

Anyway both versions will be great I'm sure, not point arguing over what is ultimately a personal preference. Some people don't like holding the stylus, some people find it awkward to use the Vita rear touch pad, some prefer size over sharpness, some may be looking forward to local co-op on the console. Apples and Oranges :)

Yup, probably both versions will be great. At this point it really doesn't make a big difference :D

Rayman Origins was an awesome platformer.

This one should be f**king amazing!!
