NOOOOOO, no need The Last of Us on PS4 ... that's the perfect game to represent this generation, one of the last great games of the PS3, equivalent of God of War 2 or Rogue Galaxy of PS2 !!

This game is simply AMAZING, great story, great gameplay, story and narration + characters !
A baby from Naughty God, a last gift for the PS3 which confirms being the best console of this generation.

Let this game on PS3, can't wait 14th June to buy it !!

That said I would recommend you to wait for E3 (probable PS3 price drop) and get the PS3. It is already cheap with a good library of exclusive games, and The Last of Us incoming The chances of The Last of Us for the PS4 I think are really slim, and with only backwards compatibility provided with gaikai, we may have to wait quite some time to play streamed PS3 games on the PS4. Plus the PS4 will be expensive at launch and I suppose you will go with Xbone anyway, so PS3 is definitely the better choice at the moment in my opinion.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Looks like it's going to settle in at 95. It would take at least 6 perfect scores to get up to 96 from here, and it doesn't appear that any of the big review sites were weighted. 95.6 is the exact un-weighted average of all the scores.

I really would love to get a PS3 to just try out Unchartered and this game but I just don't see the point of buying a PS3 this late. Plus I will have little time to play games in a few months since I'll be starting uni.

Actually I'm currrently favouring the PS4 right now :) , but I'll have to see if MS will continue to charge for Xbox Live next generation and if they have good exclusives cause those are big factors that will affect my decision.
