What is Destiny?
Destiny is Bungie's next big game after breaking off ties with Microsoft. Bungie describes it as a shared-world shooter however they want to stress that it is not an MMO. As of right now we know Destiny will be available for PS3, 360, PS4, and XBONE. It is rumored that a PC version of the game may be in the works or at least being discussed.
Story
Earth has reached a golden age with humanity conquering every planet within our solar system, when suddenly an unknown force pushes us back to the brinks of our homeplanet. Suddenly a giant orb came out of nowhere named the traveller and saved what little of humanity remained. A few years after this catastrophie we started building a city underneath the traveller and ventruing back out into space only to find many hostile alien throught the solar system. These alien forces are now trying to stamp out the rest of what remains of us and our city under the traveller. You play as a guardian, a soldier who is able to wield some of the power of the traveller trying to find a way to defend the city.
Classes
Their are 3 known classes in the game and it is unknown if there is more. Players as of now have the choice between Hunter, Warlock, and Titan. Other than that most of the information we have is based on a few images and pure speculation for now.
Hunters are suppose to be guardians who go beyond the walls of the city below. From the look of the picture it may be safe to assume the hunter is like scout characters from other FPS games. The usual use of sniper rifles and smg's.
The Warlocks are an obvious reference to mage type characters and bungie has confirmed this saying they are masters of The Travelers arcane arts. One thing to notice about the warlock is in it's photo there is a small droid floating above his shoulder. This is possibly a sign that they will have a pet type droid in game for this class or possibly an extra equipment slot if there is looted weapons and armor for a magic augmentating droid perhaps?
Titans were the guardians who built the wall around the city. With there large stature and history around defense these characters may be the equivalent of tank like characters with heavy weapons and stronger armor.

As of now we have 3 playable species
Human
I think human is pretty self explanatory......
Awoken
Not much is really known about the awoken yet really other than that bungie drew inspiration from elves. As always I'll update more as I find out more
Exo
Exo are described as undead and cybernetic. This makes me think they're like robocop, someone whose flesh is being re-animated with cybernetics.
Enemies
Like the rest game not much is really known (other than the fact that it already looks bloody awesome) however we do know enough for some intriguing information on these guys. The different known types are as follows.
Vex
The vex are described as spacefaring humanoid androids that can travel through time. They live on the planet Venus. Something interesting about them is when they die a beam pops out of there mouth and bungie describes it as "it's soul is getting ripped out of it's body" The Vex have a stronghold known as The Citadel. This makes me wonder what their favorite shop on the citadel is.
Cabal
The Cabal are some big dudes. They're the guys in the BACKROUND of this image. Yes that big. Only thing really known about them is they inhabit mars. They also have a possibility of having different classes of them. Centurions and Legionairs.
The Fallen
The Fallen have been described as a nomadic species that has conquered moons and planets. They have been called "spider pirates" and also have spider tanks as pictured above. It's hidden by the cloaks in this picture, but they also have 4 arms. It's confirmed they do have ranked classes for this species as would fit with there social structure of noble houses and casts, but have recently fallen on hard times.
The Fallen also have a fast land vehicle known as a Pike, that players can steal and use.
Dregs: The lowest class for the Fallen are said to be theif type characters that often use a weapon called a shock dagger. They clatter and hiss a lot which can giveaway there position.
Vandals: These guys sound like a sniper class for the fallen. They prefer long range weapons that take a while to charge up, but do massive damage.
Captains: For every large pack of enemies there seems to be a captain. They're the strongest known class of the fallen so far and their images depict them as using two of their hands for swords.
The Hive
Known as space zombies, these guys look a lot like feral beasts. It sounds to me like they may act somewhat like the Zerg from starcraft.
Glimmer (rumored)
Nothing at all is known about these guys really other than they are trademarked by bungie and this is the image that comes up when you search for them. It's possible it's not even an enemy species, but most speculation leads to that it is.
Factions
Factions are confirmed for the game and there is a mode called Faction Wars. There is no known factions yet, but they are rumored to be the Osiris, FOTC, Future War Cult, New Monarchy, Seven Seraphs, and Dead Orbit.
Rumors
Pet animals. Bungie as shown a white tiger pet animal in many of it's images, but have yet to further comment on the images.
