Given he is head of a small studio that only has one game I've never heard of until reading the article but probably is a digital release, I think it is all but guareteed it will be a eShop game. Which is honestly the smart move, release a small but well budgeted eShop game, if it gets enough traction, it increases your name with major publishers and gets you money for another project.
