Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft admits they lost the console war with Xbox One?

First too long and too technical but the premise is laughable. E3 will be upon us shortly and then we'll see what Xbox One has as far as games.

As for Xbox's One focus. It's in no way a concession to losing anything (and they blatantly beat PS3 with 360 in NA and UK). If anything it's a concession that the home console business is no longer worth winning on it's own. Too little revenue vs risk and it's a market in decline. MS has the right idea tying into new media experiences like Quantum to make it a unique experience unavailable on other (mobile) devices. But Xbox One does seemed more tailored to the Madden/Call of Duty/Halo crowd than to 'core' gamers who like a broad range of genres, who would likely be better served with PS4 for best in class AAA games and indies. From a business perspective MS should do better than Sony with this approach.
