The market has shrunk so much.  In the same week in 2007, the DS sold about 50% more hardware than everything combined this week.

What an awful week indeed.

Did somebody drop a nuke on Japan or something? Those numbers are looooooow.

3DS hardware sales drop are alarming

It was around 40% according to the VGC numbers. Do you have Famitsu numbers by any chance?

Vita's number this time last year: 6,347 (Even with price cut, sales haven't doubled)

To provide a slightly more positive outlook though, there's a chance that 3DS; PS3 & PSV may be up a little next week, since they have Shin Megami Tensei 4; Kamen Rider & Valhalla Knights 3 releasing respectively.

edit: Oh, and Resident Evil: Revelations for PS360U.  Gonna be interesting to see if it helps Wii-U hang on.

I was using MC numbers.  111,239 DS 2007, 73,056 total this week.

Famitsu numbers were 112,309 for the DS/L in 2007.  219,127 for all hardware that week.
