Forums - Microsoft - XBOX One - The Good, The Bad & The Worry

Having now seen the full reveal, here are my honest opinions:The Good - As a full, all in One media device, it looks and works brilliantly.  Love the user interface and the slick transitions between movies/games/music/internet etc.The Bad - The actual box looks meh.  It looks massive and reminds me of an old early 80's VCR machine.  Not sure about the two-tone body either, unless it splits in two.  Also due to the shear size of the unit, maybe the rumours of overheating are true and maybe there is a massive fan housed within the body. The Worry - Very surprised that no actual gameplay was shown.  Yeah but they are keeping that for E3?  Well, it makes me think that there won't be that much footage to show at E3, hence the reason to not show any at all with this event. One thing for sure though, is that this E3 will be the biggest full on fight between MS and Sony ever.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

Agreed. As I discussed in another thread, Ninty has done well to stay out of the way. E3 will be interesting for all.

The Xbox One will never release in that form in europe. An "always on, always connected" device with a camera that has to be plugged in? Privacy Protection in europe will never allow such a thing to go on sale. Microsoft are in for some serious redesign or they just launch in the US only.

Ever thought about that? When even Facebook has major issues in europe, I think a device like XBox One will run into serious trouble. Also, in europe you have the right to sell used software. Some system set up by Microsoft won't do the trick.

You can sell it, there is just a fee.
Last time I checked, Steam was still working in Germany.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Why is the box so big? It doesnt make any sense.

Do u think Nintendo should stay out of the way because they cant handle there own? or do u think its so either MS/Sony in a sense take the other out of the game thus giving Nintendo one major competitor? Or something else entirely?

Hmm... Potentially bolded but neither. MS and Sony are rolling into E3 with shit tonnes of hype. Nintendo are just there to reveal system selling games and not the system itself. A lot of the general public know nothing of ps4 and Xbox one so as far as they're concerned, it's all completly new. Then again, Xbox One is still going nuts on Twitter....
