Sony has already gone on record saying that they have absolutely no intentions of cutting the price anytime soon. The PS3 is not going to get a price cut anytime soon and don't expect them to tell you or even hint about until weeks before it happens.
The reason one will not happen anytime soon is simply because there aren't enough games yet. There absolutely must be a well established library before they can even think about cutting the price. They're already losing money on the PS3 and if they plan to lose more with each purchase, they better be sure that there are games to go along with that purchase.
My first isn't worth mentioning because it was neither clever nor funnyly stupid... just dull.

Reason -
Canada is 1/10 of the US population, but is also more tech savy (Highest per capita in HD TV, Digital Stations, highest penetration in High Speed Internet... the winters are long and cold in Canada). Canada could be between 10%-14% of US sales. I'm pretty sure a couple mexicans have bought games also... 6%-10%(this is a big guess.. wouldn't know where to find sales figures for Mexico)
I also wanted to point out the CTV article quoted is from the 2005 Launch... Canada only sold 10% of sales compared to the US because that's all it received for the launch."
