No. The Wii U is as good of a GameCube as the GameCube.

That was my favorite generation of consoles as well. I really loved the Sega Saturn and it's a shame it didn't get the love it deserved. I'm still holding onto a small glimmer of hope that Sega might return one day to the console business.

I miss the SNES too.  Many of the best RPG's ever made came out during that era.  I still go back every now and then and fire up FFIV, Secret of Mana, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, etc.

not really. I started out with the nes in 87 at the age of 7. I have the nintendo 3DS. I'm not that much into nintendo like I was back then,but they'll always have a special place in my heart.

I was around for the first gen and then when to PC until Wii brought me back to console gaming. So far there's nothing in the upcoming gen that's enticing so I'm likely to return to PC/mobile gaming.

So as far as consoles goes I'm only nostalgic for Wii. But I much prefer my old arcade classic (or the like) over today's movie-esque games.

My favorite systems ever were the PS1 and N64 so that was easily my favorite Gen. Many awesome games that had series peaks during that gen.

So far, next Gen seems to be a repeat of PS2/GC/XB which was my least favorite, hope I'm wrong.

I only have a 3DS currently and it isn't doing it for me at he moment. I'll get ACNL later this week though so hopefully that helps.

I agree it's never a good thing for a game company to hold a monopoly of the gaming industry. We need a good healthy competition.
