i would say yes. i certainly learned a lot about gaming and i learned a lot about the industry.
i guess it made me more interested in platformers and some games like scribblenauts.

These forums got me interested in a lot of titles I probably wouldn't have even known about let alone bought. Most I ended up really enjoying (Endless Ocean, Fire Emblem and Sakura Wars come to mind) and some I regretted (Trauma Team, Monster Hunter Tri).

But overall my collection was much richer for being here.

And if they like a game I haven't tried yet then I might as well give it a go. So far they've been mostly hits. Really enjoying some of the recommendations like Vesperia and Super Metroid right now. Heck even some of the recommended indie games like Gunman Clive really it the mark.

If you like Super Metroid, try out a SNES game called Metal Warriors, it's damn good.

Yea, a lot of people on this forum can give excellent reviews, and I'm really happy about that. Lunar was a recommendation for me, and right now it's my favorite PSP game. A bit easy, but a really nice omage to classic JRPG's.
