Congrats on becoming a dks addict lol, have u gotten into pvp yet?

If you mean hardcore into PvP matches then no. I have however gotten a decent amount of experience from invasions and can hold my own against a mediocre player. Lately I have been taking my level 20 sorcerer into undead burg and allowing invaders there (I left the demon boss alive for this.) That has been giving me some good practive before I decide to dive head first into hardcore PvP. I enjoy some of the messages I get when I help someone in co-op in that area and do almost 1500 damage with my rapier on a parry and reposte. I get a lot of messages saying I'm a glitcher and have even had people send me home. I try to tell them that I just basically went through the game as a low level character. Some just don't believe me I guess.

Check out some pvp vids with commentary.  Jblackmel(YouTube),  myrtyrsbrigade is a great source for info on tactics and builds.

Is there much pvp on Xbox?  I'm on ps3 usually it's pretty good.

also have u tried forest invading?  Very intense fighting 1 v 2,  luv it

I'm sure there is probably more of a pvp base on ps3 since it has a bigger install base there. On 360 it's pretty good and fairly consistent. Sometimes it might take a few minutes to invade/get invaded and sometimes invasions can b constant.

I have tried a few invasions in the forest. Those were pretty intense and enjoyable.

I think I have heard of jblackmel and watched a few of his videos. He seems to get pretty detailed about it. I think the only major thing holding the pvp back is the lag that sometimes occurs. All multiplayer online games have some lag, but when u get into a bad connection pvp match in Dark Souls you really know it lol! I have had times where I was a good distance away and then all the sudden my health bar went down and the invader would teleport next to me lol. It all depends on how far away the person is that you are connected to.

If they can improve the lag problem which I think they will at least somewhat, it will really improve the PvP experience quite a bit.

Do it like devil may cry. Game completions unlock challenge difficulties, like instant death if hit etc.

Or make it like diablo. you die, you lose your character.

(Ouch.)

Yes, I want a permadeath mode, that would b awesome.  That would b a worthy achievement, beating the game without dying once.

omg.  that would be so hard.  i could so see myself getting all the way to the bed of chaos and missing the jump..

I wonder if they will include an 'environmental' boss in dks2.  That boss alwys annoyed me, it's pretty easy w summons attacking both sides at the same time tho lol.

Lol personally I think that is the most incredibly annoying boss of the game. Probably the only major area of the game that I felt like some of my deaths were cheap. Even the From Software guys said that was the boss they were most disappointed how it turned out.

The lag is unfortunate, dedicated servers in dks2 should help.  When doing formal pvp in the butterfly forest ppl generally avoid bs'ing.

when in the forest anything goes especially when your getting ganked.  Bs'ing is your best friend

as they had an environmental boss in demon's souls i imagine we'll see another one.  ..but the dragon god was way more fun than the bed of chaos.

with all this talk lately i want to replay demon's souls..

They just need to keep the environments, and surprises they throw at you fresh. Obviously, those who've played the previous games know how they generally need to approach the game, but the challenge really comes from the types of unique, new situations the game can throw at you. Obviously if the areas and enemies are all very similar to the past games it won't be very difficult for us, but if they made fresh designs, it should be fine.

lol, did they say that?  ..i can't argue though.  probably the worst boss between both demon's and dark souls.  it was all the more disappointing for being (at least for me) the final boss before gwyn.

Is Demon Souls worth it even if you have Dark Souls?

Yes, areas 1-1 thru 1-4 are pretty epic.  It's worth playing if u enjoyed Dark Souls.

yep. Least favorite for me. They actually released an art book either last year or recently where they answered some questions. here is a video that a popular Dark Souls youtuber "EpicNameBro" uploaded talking about the questions they answered in the artbook:

EDIT:

Actually not sure if that was the right video where Bed of Chaos video was discussed, but I know it was discussed in this one:

At 17:34 listen.

Here's me fighting the tutorial boss which surprisingly some people had issues with from what I heard.

I fricken messed up so much in this battle but I still managed to win XD.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qxsmBJSDrRQ#t=453s

Edit: Was playing with the PS3 controller on the Steam/PC version - wasnt used to the controls since it was my first time playing.

That boss was so easy. It was actually one of the easiest boss battles I've ever encountered.

I remember thinking that Dark Souls wasn't going to be so bad. It wasn't even so bad once I got out of the tutorial. I had a little bit of trouble between the Asylum Demon and Tartarus Demon (mostly because I didn't know that there is essentially only one path you can take if you don't want to get slaughtered right away). But then I got to the Tartarus Demon and got annihilated instantly. So I made my way back there again (I didn't see any 30 second shortcut either which is weird cause I always explore everywhere possible in games) and decided to be much more careful and promplty got utterly destroyed again. At this point I was rather agitated but I went at it again and attempted to kill him with bombs which was decently effective but then I ran out of bombs and he proceeded to kill me again. For my fourth go at him (I was getting really annoyed because I had to go through all of those mobs every time I died) I found the ladder that leads to the tower and I remember laughing a bit to myself because I though I would get away with climbing up that and throwing all my bombs and shooting him with all my arrows without him being able to attack back. Needless to say I was entirely wrong and he jumped up right away and destroyed my life again.

At that point I was raging so I took the disc out and threw it on the ground and went to watch some Netflix. A few days later I decided to give it another try. I figured I would just grind (which is something I despise BTW) and kill mobs to level up so I could have better defense and afford enough bombs to kill him. I spent the next 2 days (3 couple hour sessions) leveling my character up until I felt confident enough that I would beat him. I went back to the boss and proceeded chucking bombs at him and trying to avoid his attacks. That didn't work either because he drained my health before I could beat him and killed me again.

That was pretty much the breaking point for me. I took the game out of the tray and put it back in the case and went ahead and put it on craigslist.

And that pretty much sums up my experience with Dark Souls
