When the latest blockbuster movie is released you also get the obligatory video game based on or around the movie. A high percentage of the time the game is complete dross and released to cash in on the success of the film.
However, sometimes a movie tie in game gets released that is surprisingly good.
What are your favourite movie tie in games..
here are mine

Hulk (Gamecube) This is the game based on the 2003 movie starring Eric Bana. The Bruce Banner stealth missions are meh, but the game really comes to life when you are the Hulk. Anything goes and the destructable environments are great for using on the bad guys.

King Kong (Gamecube, PS2,Xbox)
I was really surprised by this one, it had sort of FPS elements to it. Battling dinosaurs or giant bugs was great and playing through the Missions as Kong was great fun.

Amazing Spiderman (Wii U, PS360)
I really enjoyed this game, prob my fave Spiderman game. The web rush mechanic was a great addition, as were the free roaming elements of manhattan in between missions. Some interesting combat moves and some decent boss battles were the icing on the cake.

Personally I cant think of any movie game that ive cared for.

I do want to point out that King Kong is also for X360, PC, DS, and PSP though.

For me, nothing comes close to "The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay" (PC)

King kong was pretty awesome. Spiderman 2 was actually pretty good too. While I haven't played it, I heard pretty good things about "the Warriors".

Scott Pilgrim Vs the World The Game (PSN, XBLA)

Spiderman 2 obviously was awesome but I liked 1 a lot also (haven't played it since it came out so maybe that's just nostalgia).

The LOTR games were awesome (well the last 2 at least). That is the official ones for Two Towers and RotK. I remember thinking how amazing RotK looked on PS2. I wish they would make a LotR trilogy game for PS4 that could really capture the scale and have that combat system. The battles could be so epic and they could have larger environments to have the fights in like have all of Helm's Deep at once instead of dividing it between the wall, the gap, and the gate. I would love to be able to gallop through a huge HD Pelennor Fields but the only games people seem to be interested in are mobas and LEGO games. Alas

Blade Runner (The PC Adventure Game)
Batman Returns (The PC Adventure Game)
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (better than the movie, and most games in general).

The best one is Chronicles of Riddick imo.

I thought the Toy Story 3 game was a lot of fun and Shrek 2 was great too. 

Nothing beats King Kong or Toy Story for me
