Arc System Works have announced Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign, the latest entry in its hit Guilty Gear fighting game series, during the Arc System Works Festival in Yokohama this weekend.

Currently confirmed for arcades, the game boasts 3D graphics, is built on the Unreal Engine, and uses a “Ringedge2 / All.Net P-ras Multi Version 2″ circuit board. A release date was not announced.

Great news. I'm not a huge fan of the blaz blue series and i was wishing for a new GG for a while. Good to see it happen.

Xxain, those arent sprites, they are 3D models (wich will play in 2D, much like Street fighter and Mortal Kombat).

definitely. BlazBlu is a poor mans Guilty Gear. I really couldn't stand that game. Game mechanics were fun but all the cosmetics just sucked

Now that makes sense. I was wondering why they look so off. They did a really good job at making them look like sprites

they look underdetailed.   Thye opted for making them true HD without anyjaggies, but they lost detail.  it is like SSFII HD.   Looks like they just redraw over the old sprites.   It looks horrible.

EDIT: HOLY FUCK! I just saw the trailer on other site, and THEY ARE NOT SPRITES.   Those are 3d models, AND they looks FUCKING AWESOME!!!!! FUCK YES!! I am Buying this!!
