A) Consoles AREN'T dying. If that were even remotely true, and not laughably incorrect, then gaming wouldn't be a more lucrative business over the last ten years than any other entertainment medium.
B) The thing I really don't like about threads like these, is that it honestly feels like there is a crowd of fanboys just HOPING that Nintendo actually would ever go out of the console business, simply so that they could finally get away with playing Mario and Zelda on their Playstation or Xbox. And to me, that is not only insulting, it's also rather sad.
Nintendo is the last oldest video game console maker in the business, and why anyone would want that to go away, leaving only massive corporations like Sony, Microsoft, potentially Apple, etc., is beyond me.
