Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo gamers: Better Question, do you even care about third party games on Nintendo systems?

Of the 4 retail games that I do have for my Wii U, Only Nintendoland is first party. I got Batman, Black Cops 2, and Just Dance 4 because I knew they would be great third party titles I would enjoy on the system.

Really I think that the Nintendo fans that also care about 3rd parties know by now that a Nintendo system alone is never enough for that. A Nintendo console and one of PS3/360/PC could've been a good combo this past gen. Same will go for the current gen (but replace PS3 with PS4 and 360 with nextbox)

this matches how i feel. You always have good insight, in my oppinion you are one of the best forum users here

I own 25 third party games for Wii
And 15 for GC
So that makes a total of 40 that i can play on Wii.

I think i own more third party than first actually

Im content with GC level 3rd party support. It had very good exclusives and a decent amount multiplats. It doesnt need to every 3rd party game to make me happy.

if the game is around the same quality as on other consoles then i would always buy it on a Nintendo console but since that almost never happens i end up buying it on xbox instead.

This. We always get jipped in quality or get half assed ports.

and who's fault was that?

Whose fault was it that The Orange Box on the PS3 was clearly inferior to other versions?

sony's. they made a powerful machine but it was way to complicated for devs.

Who do you give credit for equal versions of 360 and PS3 games?

The developer. They would have to put extra time and effort to get an equivalent PS3 version.

well they seem to care vocally only. Most dont buy though.

nailed it.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Absolutely! I buy a lot of Ubisoft games, I would hate to see them not support Wii U. I would love to see Konami and Rockstar games on Wii U. I know Capcom is on board, does anyone know if Square-Enix is supporting Wii U?

THis, the PS3 is as powerful as 360 its just arranged differently. THe WIi situation isnt comparable at all. ITs not even in the same league hardware wise as those two, so the games were never going to be comparable unless they gimped the PS360 versions, and not a lot of people wanted that.

Last gen:
- Muramasa, Little King's Story, Okami, World of Goo, Zack & Wiki, Disney Epic Mickey, de Blob

- Zero Escape 1, Ghost Trick, Time Hollow, Inazuma Eleven, Knights in the Nightmare, Solatorobo, Radiant Historia, Professor Layton, Phoenix Wright/Ace Attorney, OkamiDen, Ghost Trick, Nostalgia, Infinite Space, Etrian Odyssey, Age of Empires, Anno 1701, The World Ends With You, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy III-IV+XII:RW+4Heroes+Tactics, Dragon Quest IV-VI+IX+Rocket Slime

This gen:
- Deus Ex: HR, Watchdogs,... plus probably more

- Zero Escape 2, Tales of the Abyss,... plus definitely more (Bravely Default, Etrian Odyssey, Professor Layton, Ace Attorney, Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Dragon Quest VII)

In short: Yes, I care.

BTW: Endless Ocean is not a 3rd party franchise.
