Who is actually BUYING this if it gets localized?

I sure am. I love Monolith Soft and Namco/Banpresto ^_^

lol @ Soriku, you're such a n00b, just cause u found out that monolith soft is co-developing, doesn't mean its a MUST-BUY all of a sudden.  Super RobotWars games have been going since the NES days, and they've never been localized except for Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 1& 2 for GBA by Atlus, So don't get your hopes up.

That's probably a good reason to get hopes up.  Hopefully.

Yeah this game has a good chance of coming over via Atlas. The OG series are easy, it's just the ones that use actual anime robots that are really unlikely. I'm not sure i'd get this even if i did have a DS though... gameplay is going to be completely different, and for the OG games that was their strongpoint... I mean it's a game who's story is based on another game who had a patchwork story to fix in dozens of anime series into 1 world.

The story is kinda contrived... and well... animeish. With more aliens and plot twists then you know what to do with. The games have so many twists and turns it's hard to keep up between the evil aliens, the evil aliens, the evil alternite dimension half aliens, the demon aliens from maybe the same dimension and the games version of Gundams DC... it's almost better to play the japanese imports.

I heard the DS one before this one had Voltron!  Although the Japanese Voltron is totatlly different from the American version.  Hah looking back on voltron now it's funny to see all the edited parts where it's obvious people were killed but they tried to hide it from the kids watching it.

SBWT:OG 1 & 2 sold really bad in the states, Atlus won't localize em.

Atlus produces enough to make a profit. You'll be lucky to find any of their games a month after release. This would probably make it stateside unless it just plain out sucks like Xenosaga I & II or Tales of the Tempest for DS
