Forums - Sony - Nordic Retailer Lists Gran Turismo 6 On PS4

Bad move for Sony keeping up in this genre if PS3 rumor is true. MS is likely going for a new Forza game for next box launch and with the limitations of the PS3 compared to the next Xbox, (possible 8 gb of ram) Forza will likely run over it.

Sure the diehard GT fans will buy GT6, but from a media standpoint, what do you think will get more media coverage? Another GT on the PS3 with similar graphics, or a new Forza that will look better and possibly review better. MS is probably hoping Sony puts GT6 on PS3 so they can market a new Forza as the new and better looking racing sim. It's just my opinion, but I think Sony is missing a great opportunity of puting GT back in the number one drivers seat as far as media and reviewers go.

I think the people have to face it... Forza never make competition GT5... there are no game in consoles that compete with GT.

And Forza is not a launch title for Nextbox... PGR is... even if Forza was launched day one for Nextbox it will compete with Drive Club... a fair competition.

Forza will run Gran Turismo over? Sure...When pigs fly.

Even with Forza 5 being next gen and Gran Turismo being on PS3, it still won't get as much coverage as GT. Gran Turismo is just way too big and popular for that to happen.

GT6 on PS4 now is a bad idea, it will crush DriveClub. It is better than GT6 on PS3 though, which would damage PS4 as well as DriveClub. A GT for Vita is the only smart thing to do.

GT6 on PS3 would ensure continued PS3 sales well into next-gen and give PS3 a chance to overtake Wii eventually but I still think it would be a better move to make it PS4 exclusive. Hope it's Prologue like someone said and then the full game for PS4

Prologue for PS3 and a full game for PS4? Unlikely.

Prologues have a purpose... test and release new features/ideias to come in the next GT game... if a Prologue exist it have to be made for PS4 and not PS3.

It doesn't have to release this holiday.  Polyphony always takes their time and I don't see any reason not to delay till holiday 2014 giving Driveclub time to establish itself (yes they're different but the mass audience will still see them as the same genre).  PS4 needs it more (small boost on PS3 but GT on PS4 will be huge for that system and continue to sell as the install base rises so the initial install base isn't as much of a problem as people are making it out to be).

GT6 is already done or near that... it was in development for almost two years and it will release this year... I can't PD working more years to release it on PS4.

PS3 needs it right now... PS4 needs GT7: Prologue in 2014.
