Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Nor mine. Adventure, racing and rts all niche genres nowadays...
I almost have to start calling it story adventures since action adventure is taking over the meaning of adventure games.

I guess adventure would go with casual in this start, instant entertainement.
rts probably with fighting games, bit of a learning curve
racing, well my local game store already puts them in the sports section instead of their own category :(
