Freedom Wars has potential to be this years biggest new IP. Would be good to see it pass 300k this year in Japan but thats asking a lot from it

Phantasy Star Nova should do very well if Portable 1 & 2 are anything to go by.
I also think Ore Shika 2 could do better than the last game on PSP did, but we'll have to see.

I was actually looking at the PSP and PSP2 sales. Dont think PSN will quite reach the same heights but 500k+ seems to be a reasonable range for success.
Also that series as the best abbreviations =P
As for Oreshika 2, well thats going to be really hard to predict sales on. I guess if it pulls 100k+ in Japan we would consider that a success right?

Phantasy Star is going to be a really interesting one to watch. I'm not sure it'll reach the heights that PSP 1 & 2 did, but at the same time, God Eater did 400k on Vita and that was a multiplat; PSN is exclusive. I reckon it'll reach at least 400k.
Oreshika 1 did 200k on PSP LT. On the one hand, it was a remake of a PS1 game so I'd expect the sequel to sell better, but on the other hand it was a remake after like 12 years or something so it might as well have been a new game.
I'd be more impressed if Oreshika 2 was pushing around 150k by the time it leaves Media Create/Dengeki. I dunno really

I pretty much agree with this, Phantasy Star seems to still have quite a lot of clout attached to its name and its genre seems to be popular on Vita. Given that, like you said, it's also a Vita exclusive, I think 450k-500k is very much within the realm of possibility. TBH, of all the games we know of, this may be Vita's biggest title in Japan, unless it gets a Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts perhaps.
As for Oreshika, if it turns out to be good, I think it should sell, Persona 4 shows the Vita install base is up for high quality JRPGs and there haven't been all that many of them, I think 200k should be doable.
Pretty much underlines the promise the Vita is showing for 2014 in Japan (assuming we get PSN this year) - these two, combined with Freedom Wars and a slew of multis should shift some units, plus we'll hopefully get Gravity Rush 2 late this year or early next year. I'm actually feeling optimistic, especially given that Vita's only big title that's come out this year is Miku 2, yet 2014 is still up YTD on 2013, which had a price drop, Soul Sacrifice, PSO2 and Senran Kagura. I'd say what's lined up is easily enough to go toe to toe with God Eater 2, FFX HD, Toukiden and Vita 2k
