Pokemon Monster Hunter & God Eater have already released and are already successes.  They're not what I'm talking about.

Dragon Quest X released on Wii-U 6 months after the Wii version to a ~ 35k FW.  By the looks of things, it seems like Square shipped enough for anywhere between a 28k-55k FW, despite the fact that this version is releasing at exactly the same time as the previous version and doesn't have a digital copy this time around.

If stock is the reason that it's bombing, then they have no-one to blame but themselves.  And maybe Nintendo for the Wii-U's poor state in Japan making retailers wary of taking big shipments of Wii-U games.
