LGPE steadily closing the gap with Sw/Sh. At first I wondered if it would pass last gen's third version/sequel title in USUM, now I wonder if it will even beat last year's spinoff game. I mean, unless COMG is just declining that fast, we have a mainline Pokemon game that is less than 50 points ahead of a spinoff game from just last year. The gap peaked at 52 points. The true gen-opening mainline Pokemon title should no less than absolutely decimate a less-than-impressive spinoff title.

Let's Go sold ten million units in 2018 alone. Pretty sure no one at Nintendo/Game Freak will be shedding tears over some eight-digit number of sales for a $60 console game, even if it's fewer than previous new generations.

How about in Japan? And sure they might not shed tears, but would they not be concerned? What's the point in dominating a region if its sales are becoming that irrelevant?

Now that's more like it, Pokemon. Still not what it used to be, and not enough to even touch USUM, but at least enough to pull away from Let's Go.

FF7 continues the streak with a 2 point increase. P5 increases again.

Let's Go has outsold Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon by quite a bit worldwide (11 million vs. 8.5 million), despite being more expensive and on hardware with a much-smaller installed base.

But right, right, Japan's the only region that matters. Let's Go has sold, what, over 1.5 million there, and Sword/Shield are trending better? I mean, I don't quite grasp your alarmism, this is hardly some Yo-kai Watch-tier free fall. It could absolutely beat USUM's 1.2 million first week, though I'm guessing at that point the goalpost moves to [some other Pokémon game that sold better].

For this thread? Yes, Japan is all that matters. It's the topic of the discussion at hand. How games will fare in the Japanese game market as measured by this one retail chain's preorders.

Slow day...

It's nice to know software, but it's possible to know hardware ?
Curious to know how many pre order have new version of Switch and Switch Lite.

I think its safe to say that comg is on the way out. We've got persona, monster Hunter, pokemon, final fantasy and dragon quest on the chart barely able to get points, this is not a good sign.
