That's retail only? If so, even more amazing because many people will buy Splatoon digitally imo (doesn't take up a lot of space, will get free dlc and it's an online game).

Yep, retail only.

We'll have to see if Splatoon can keep up the hype from the testfire. It only needs an average of 2 points per day to match XCX and a tad more than that to match Pikmin 3, which shouldn't be too difficult, but COMG is a bit unpredictable. All depends on the ratio, as well.
