What a ridiculous article.

It takes 3 - 6 months for shipments to get from China to the US.
It is 16m for Computer Entertainment System in the FY 2013.
Computer Entertainment System = PS2 + PS3 + PS4

Are you sure? It is ~1 month I guess.

..or you could actually go to the Maersk schedule site and see the time schedule of their freight ships, instead of making a wild (and completely wrong) guess....

Yeah 3-6 months seems way to long. I'm more along the lines of 1 month as well.
I haven't read any statements about this before, so my comment might not be valid. However, I think we should take into consideration that Sony's fiscal year starts April 1 and ends March 31. Meaning that if the PS4 has a world wide release sometime between October and December, it will actually have a sale period of 4-6 months this fiscal year.
Taking earlier systems into consideration (mainly N64, PS2, Xbox360, PS3 and Wii), a reasonable production capacity in the beginning of a presumed popular systems life cycle is 1 million units/month. In rare cases, it might be possible to reach a slightly higher figure. This would put PS4 sales at around 4-6 million systems this fiscal year. Anything beyond that would be mind blowing.

I was, but now that I checked with a shipping company, no.
The figure came from a TV shw, it had something to do with cargo container vessels. Cause at one point they show video of containers going overboard, which happens frequently I guess.
But the site I just checked said 15 days.

NowGamer Sony has already confirmed that the PS4 will be launching at the end of 2013, at least in the US. In fact, Sony has previously revealed that it expects to ship 12-16 million PS4s by the end of the year. But sources close to the supply chain suggests that this isn't the case and that Sony has yet to submit manufacturing plans. Digitimes reports that sources close to the upstream suppliers have not yet received shipment instructions, which could result in delays to the mass production of the PS4. This would mean that Sony would not be able to create enough PS4's to fulfill its expected shipments of 12-16 million. However Sony originally claimed that it would start shipping the PS4 by June, with mass shipments scheduled for August. This could even reach a high of 20 million units, suggesting that there could still be leeway with the manufacturing process if it hopes to produce 12-16 million PS4s by the end of the year. http://www.nowgamer.com/news/1915923/ps4_sony_may_not_meet_expected_shipments_in_2013.html

Thre is no way that Sony would be able to ship 12-16 million PS4 units this year. Even if they did, unless they priced them at under $250, they would never sell that many anyway.
Stop hating and start playing.
