Forums - Nintendo - If Nintendo Sells 95 Mill 3DS's + 35 Mill Wii Us, Is That A Dissapointment Or No?

35 million for the Wii U will be something of a disappointment unless every other next gen system sells roughly the same in the 30 to 40 million range. If it sells 35 million and even one of its competitors sells over 50 million then it is a large failure, that would be a disaster if both sell over 50 million.

That wouldn't be half bad. Considering that PSV will probably have 30-40 million and PS4 about 50-65 million. I really don't care about how many units of something are sold. As long as I get Smash Bros., Zelda U, Mario Kart U, 3D Mario, and some traditional Dragon Quest game on Wii U, it'll be the best console ever to me.

3ds no.. wiiu yes...  To me they gotta sell over 40  million to considering it a success.  However, the real thing that matters is whether or not they make money which they'll have no trouble on both systems.

95 million is not bad at all for 3DS. 30-35 million would be quite disappointing for Wii U but not tragic. It would still be above Gamecube and N64, if it manages to get above 60 million that would be quite successful but still a big drop compared to Wii.

What are you all talking about!!! The wii sold the most and its been doomed and a failure all its life!

It makes no difference what happens! =)

Nintendo can still make lots of money even with 35m consoles sold.

Sony on the other hand wouldn't be able to make any profit or maybe a tiny profit with 35m sold.

And?

GC sold like crap, XBOX too, N64 a little better but bad too.

35m is bad for any console... any... profit or loss... it is a fail sell only 35m.

Gamecube may have sold less but it still made lots of profits. So did N64.

Xbox was a complete faliure, since it sold less and lost billions.
