Mass Effect 2 was also an exclusive for a period of time. So the series lost exclusivity after two releases.

Let's not beat around the bush, if Uncharted games were released on PC the same day they were released on PS3, Xbox fans would not let it be called an exclusive.

See what i'm getting at?

Secondly, people bring up like 4 exclusive japanese/asian xbox 360 games, If you want me to walk into a store over here in Japan and take a picture of all the PS3 games you never even knew existed, we're talking 100+ here, that are exclusive to PS3, I will gladly do so.

What you're seeing is Microsoft's brief folley into attracting the japanese crowd, but the competition in that market from nintendo and sony are just insurmountable - A microsoft console will *never* sell better than sony or nintendo consoles here simply because of the types of games the company focuses on, if you're into dating sims and you live in japan, you have 1, maybe 2 on 360, 40-60 on PS3 and over 500 on PS2, which still sell well in major stores despite the ps2 being old hat.

Let's just be honest here, if you're into JRPG's or JShmups, buying an american console is like buying an Eco car because you're into the sounds of a classic V8.

No, I don't feel the PC directly competes with consoles in a significant way, not like a console war. Also, I still perceive games that are on PS3 and Vita as exclusive. Because Xbox isn't directly competing with Vita.

I mentioned Mass Effect 2 to remind that person it was an exclusive for a period of time. Not just with the original. You're taking it out of context.

MS doesn't need the Japanese crowd, the western audience is clearly more valuable. Sony doesn't care about the Japanese crowd and would rather have a bigger western following. Look how few games Sony releases intended to appeal to Japanese audiences. While they release tons of games for western audiences.

I am glad Internet Gamers are in the minority because 77 Million people own Xbox 360. Which means nobody cares what you are saying. HA!

Console gamers are the minority, 500 Million+ people alone own iPods, iPads and iPhones capable of running iOS games and apps, then an easy 500 Million+ Android devices with the same capabilities, and you're looking at a market with 1 Billion + owners, compared to that console sales are trivial.

Its amazing, such a large userbase yet they get very few noteworthy games.

Why is that?

Lets not pretend the iOS and Android userbase is made up by people primarily interested in gaming. Even if they buy a few $1 games.

That'd be down to most games being released on iOS being casual games that most people play when bored, not multi-million dollar blockbuster titles which hog the news, but sure, try this one on for size, Naver launched a chat application less then a couple of years ago, and a few games, Line Pop, Line Bubble, Line hidden Catch, all free, all using the account system of the chat application to idenify the player and share scoring/invitation/bonus systems with friends, it doesn't matter how much was spent on these games (very little) or how much media attention they get, because each of those three games has been downloaded, and currently.. actively used by more people than the current sales total of the original Wii.

So hey, what's that, 120m+ people actively playing some simply, basic games? let's not pretend the userbase aren't gamers too? you're a bit full of yourself if you think gaming on a phone is any less 'gaming' then doing so on a 3ds, vita or home console.

You don't consider PC releases significant because it breaks the 'exclusive' claims, frankly if you move context and say "this car color is EXCLUSIVE to america!", when the car can be bought in other countries in the same damn color, just with a different engine size, it doesn't matter what differences the car itself has, the color is the same - it doesn't matter if a PC isn't a console, the game is the same, thus it's not exclusive to 360 alone, just as the original gears of war, and Halo 1 and 2 aren't.

MS doesn't need the japanese crowd? what you mean to say is MS can't penitrate the japanese market because they lack the type of games and services japanese players prefer.. Sony doesn't care about the japanese crowd? are you freaking serious?, no, really?, Do you want me to walk into a games store tomorrow and give you a nice picture of the size of their PS3, PSP and Vita sections compared to whats available to the US and Europe?.

If you genuinely think MS don't give a crap about the japanese market, and genuinely think Sony doesn't cater to it's Japanese customers, You're clearly on the wrong 'support forums'.

But let me just mirror a post earlier with this..

I'm reluctant to believe how active this Naver program you're talking about actually is. But I'm not denying gaming is popular on those platforms, but we know most of those devices aren't purchased for much gaming if at all. While almost all game console are bought for more serious gaming.

Did I say gaming on a phone is any less "gaming"? What I actually said is phones aren't a great choice for gaming because of few noteworthy titles in spite of their massive userbase. I'd like that to change though.

Japanese 3rd parties make games Japanese consumers want. Sony is primarily just focused on appealing to the west.

Instead of responding with pictures, why not just admit I'm right? Sony has made a much bigger effort to appeal to western audiences than Japanese audiences. What Japanese company makes more games intened for western audiences than Sony? Sony yearns for a larger western audience and it accounts for a majority of their sales.

Regarding primary application:

As of November, 2012, Line had more than 74 million users worldwide and was used in over 230 countries.
As of January 18, 2013, Line had reached 100 million users worldwide and reportedly was gaining about 400,000 users daily.
As of 2 May 2013, Line had reached 150 million users worldwide.

Incase you can't do the math, thats a growth of 76 million users in the space of 6 months, which is actually 422,000 new users every single day, With a blackberry and Nokia Asha version released recently, and a version of non-systematic OS's in the near future that numbers only going to climb even higher over the next 6 months - Marketing for the application, it's games and characters is becoming explosive with stores carrying merchandise of the characters and live events, as well as series of television shorts.

Naver are forcasting the userbase to reach 400m users by the end of forth quarter 2013.

Instead of responding with pictures, why not just admit I'm right? Sony has made a much bigger effort to appeal to Western audiences than Japanese audiences. What Japanese company makes more games intened for western audiences?

Paragraph one you can't defend against because your argument is fatally flawed, Sony publish and develop many games that do not see a release outside of Japan, but your heads too firmly in the dirt to understand this basic fact, But i digress, feel free to fly out here and see it for yourself, first hand, in stores across the country.

Oh i used pictures? does that make the text that went along with them dissapear?, Sony Computer Entertainment America focus on America, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, focus on Europe, that's basic logic, nobody is denying that, but you're essentialy assuming Sony is just one big entity that decides 'screw out native country were making games for murrica now! yeehawww", it's like you do not comprehend that Sony has a seperate division for each region, and each region receive their own set of games, So what exactly do you want me to admit?, that you're right about what?, assuming that the world revolves around america?

You're just commenting on the games you know about, you haven't heard about, or seen these japanese first particle titles for the very reason i'm pointing out, theyre japanese only, thus all the media outlets you read arent going to cover them, but what could that possibly mean? could it possibly mean that you're blowing smoke out of your backside about Sony not catering to japan? i think so.
