Not really sure that was called for.

I heard that NeoGAF doesn't like Iceland. They are horrible people.

I mean we have some good members on here that I think has some intelligence and knows what they are talking about but when it comes down to it we have many people here who are very trollish like and are able to get away with it because they know they can bend the rules. I'd like to have conversations with people about games we like etc or things that are exciting without having to get in an argumentin every thread. Unfortunetely it is hard to post things when you have people whou stealth troll or blatantly bash a company he/she does not like. |
You're setting yourself up for dissapointment if you think NeoGAF is equivalent to Forum Heaven.

Well, I also find it hilarious that you think Neogaf has a community worth looking up to or replicating.

As someone who has browsed NeooGAF for years, let me tell you, it can get pretty bad down there too. Particularly on the gaming side.
I used my work email. Was approved in a few mins.

Yes. I use the same name and picture there. Easy to find me. I am now a "member" vs a jr as well. Though I haven't made any threads yet.
I registered a year ago with my work email. Almost immediately I was a "jr member" and could reply but no new threads. Then like a week ago I noticed my status was now "member".

According to that profile I registered in May 21 2012. I'll check my work archive to see if I saved that email to find the date of the acceptance.
Well couldn't find anything in there. I must have deleted it vs filed or sent to my gmail. But, yes, it was less than a day. I think they rate legitimate big corp email accounts as nearly auto approve. But university accounts are likely lower. Plus my work is a known tech / dev / defense contractor.
