I can definitely see them doing the whole....2 player split screen thing. 3D Platforming, one player is Mario, the other is Luigi (since it is the year of Luigi after all) and if you are playing single player, you can choose which you want to play.
It's going to be an awesome game no matter what they do. I even loved Sunshine so I don't know if they can mess it up to where I wouldn't want it Day 1.
