The console only need a good constant flow of good games for the year, not every game need to be on launch. For me, drive club, watch dogs and killzone will be enough for launch.

I'm sure he's mostly refering to 3rd party support because of the "familiarity" quote which I think is aimed at the PC architecture. I think we'll see 5 1st part titles arriving this year (not necessarily day one). Knack, Drive Club and either Killzone or Infamous (not both). Something from their japan studio and something from the soho team (PS move titles/home).
Two bundles. Knack bundle, 500GB for $499, Basic model with 250GB for $449

It weird being an adult over 30 and excited as i am about e3 this year and next gen consoles that are coming out later, its like looking forward to christmas. hell usually its vacation i cant wait for and i get excited. not as much this year. id take gta5 as a lunch title for my future ps4!

This is likely what will happen. Games that they show will likely be launch window or launch year. Not launch day.
There's no denying that it has a great looking launch line up. But then I think back 2 the PS3 launch and it wont really take much 2 beat that.............
PS3 and PS2 launch lineups honestly weren't all that special.
PSP or PS1 were probably the strongest Sony launches.
This isn't really a big shock because PS4/720 will probably benefit a lot from PC/current-cycle ports like Watch Dogs, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, GTAV, etc. should probably be there at launch, that's already a bigger launch than the PS3 just with those three games.
hopefully with a variety of genres to give different kinds of gamers reason to get it at launch.
why is e3 taking so long to get here?
