Can't believe this is even being debated. Wait, console wars. I do believe it.

We have a thread about the PS3 being the comeback king already, just because a thread was made in opposition to that point does not mean a thread in opposition to *that* thread needs to be made Not that i'm going to lock it, just saying why i'm discarding the storm of reports out of here... |
Well I'M going to lock it.
More or less on the logic you cited... This thread already exists, so there is no reason to create another outside an attempt to get "ahead" of posts already made or hoping said points don't get made again.
All this does is clutter the forums when a thread already exists. There is no reason this couldn't be a reply in that thread.

You can't really say the PS3 made a comeback unless it passes the Wii. At best, you can say the comeback is in progress.
I am the Playstation Avenger.

The first is all they needed to do, though. Probably all they could have done. Even the Wii, the #1 console, didn't dominate this gen like the PS1/PS2, so I doubt any console would have. Well, maybe if the PS3 launched with the Move and was only $399. But, that's a big maybe. Of course, we're going to have all 3 consoles finish pretty darn close to the PS1's numbers, so that's not too shaby, IMO. |
In my opinion the days of Sony dominance are over and will never return. MS and Sony will now share the market and fight over a few percentage points. Hopefully this will end futile fanboy wars.
Yup, going from being far and away the dominant platform to 3rd and then ending up in a statistical tie for 2nd in the span of a generation is some comeback.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
