Forums - General - Quick Short Topic: Canada

I just notice something, we hear so much drama/new/media from of countries like the Middle East, North Korea, China etc. But there always one place we rarely hear from and that is Canada. I turn on the national news each day and I rarely hear anything from Canada, why is that?

PS: God Bless Boston, this topic doesn't involve the recent Boston Bombing, though I heard they caught the guys who were responsible so that's good.

Canada is like America without the religious right. So we're the relatively mellow, well behaved offspring of the good parts of the US and Great britan.

And we don't love guns nearly as much as the US, at least not to the point of Fetishism.

Make since, I lost respect of the US Gov't when I found out the national background check was denied, even though it had a 90% voting from the people. That blew my mind when I heard that, how many mass shooting do we have to go through til the Gov't take the hint.

I think its more that Canada is like america with out the racial and gang problems. the religous right dont really make any violent headlines.

90% of the peopl did not support it. 90% of people may support some form of background check universal check, but not that bill specificaly. that is why it failed.

.....Now I see why people I talk to want to move there. I know its not perfect ,but at the moment base on gov't wise, I would rather live there then America.

Ugh, I just tire hearing about a shooting each day, well where I live at anyway (Local) and I don't think I can go through hearing horrible news like Sandy Hook again. I just want something to be done. :(
