No Marcus Fenix.

Do you consider Halo Reach a spin-off rather than a prequel?

While I don't agree with his point about not having the main character = Spin off (rather than prequel), I should warn you that by using Halo:Reach as an example, you're agreeing with him.

They aren't doing amazing because people keep considering them prequels. Gears may happen before the first game but it's much more of a spinoff. Meanwhile GOW is also before the other games but it's focused more on multiplayer. I blame the sales on the marketing doing a bad job informing consumers what the games actually are. GOW's new multiplayer should give it some better legs though.

I... don't really care either way.  I just wanted to know his opinion.

I thought Reach was a prequel to the events of the universe.  I knew I should've run with an example I knew more about like Daxter :(

Nobody was expecting these to be successors to the original trilogies, especially Gears, its a spin off prequel mostly by a different developer and made for different audiences.

Exactly what audience, outside of Gears fans, is Judgement supposed to target?  It still has Gears in the game, and is a cover based third-party shooter.  Is there an audience of people who don't like Marcus, but like Baird?

Does no one see that these are still estimates, and they can be off a lot. VGC is often closer than these analysts.

Hopefully. God of War Ascension was a great game and deserves to sell at least 600k in the  US within its first month. And honestly who the fuck is this guy. He hasn't predicted anything before so what's his credibility? But those numbers have to be off. At least for God of War. God of War 2 800k, God of War III sold 1.1 million and it was undershipped...so that leads to God of War: Ascension selling only 360k? Anything below 500k would be hilarious.

Patcher prediction on software is much different than this guy.

Not in the latest months lol

It matters but not that much. Both games will probably sell over 2 million at least. It's a clear sign they need to change things up which is good.
